Thoughts about freedom:

Even freedom is it's own shackle, because when you achieve it, you become bound by all the responsibility you must have over yourself.

The algorithm is a shackle, is a prison, that chooses what we see for us. It was made to help us by reducing our autonomy and therefore freeing us of the effort and responsibility required to choose what we see out of the sea of content.

Without the shackle of the algorithm we're free to see and experience anything we want, but then we are bound by that responsibility we must take for ourselves.

IRL, we have the paths that society builds for us, the school system, job system, religious systems. They're designed to free us from the responsibility of autonomy. The constraints give us the freedom to make smaller choices more easily and focus on that smaller world within those constraints.

When we lift those shackles, step out of them, (because they aren't actually locked, the cell door has been open this whole time) things get harder. But we become able to know and follow our own selves truly.
